After I posted an article about the most expensive cities in Asia last year, I thought I could create more list that has something to do with city rankings all over the world. What I have now is the list of cities with the most beautiful skylines. Skylines that are made through combination of high rise buildings, tall towers, huge monuments, natural land formation and other things that makes a city's skyline beautiful.
The results and my choices are based on information I got from sites like Emporis.com and of course Wikipedia.org.
10. Rio de Janeiro
What made Rio de Janeiro so spectacular is that its skyscrapers are placed in an already beautiful setting, a combination of majestic natural land formation, gigantic monument, a huge lagoon and a magnificent white sand beach. All these panoramic attraction can be seen while you are at Corcovado.

Unlike other cities, Sydney is most breathtaking during the day. Whenever the sun is up Sydney offers a majestic view. But it does not necessarily mean that this home to 32 skyscrapers city fades at night as the Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Sydney Opera House offers an extravagant sight.

Home to the first ever skyscraper in human history, Chicago today has 1,105 completed high-rises. The city currently has 91 completed buildings that stand at least 500 feet (152 m) in height, with 16 more under construction. And based on the average height of the ten tallest completed buildings, Chicago has the tallest skyline in the world.

Dubai is the pride of Middle East no other city in West Asia and North Africa could stand taller than Dubai. Not even a single building on earth could stand taller than the mighty Burj Khalifa as of yet. Its Arabic design makes it one of the most unique skyline in the world.

Despite the fact that this city has some restrictions on building heights, Seoul still manage to display a breathtaking skyline. The N Seoul Tower which serves as the city's symbol is 479.7 m (1,574 ft). In addition the city council plans to build more super-tall buildings which includes the 640-meter business center in Sangam Digital Media City district and the 523-meter Lotte World 2 Tower.

Having 932 completed high-rise buildings in the city, and 208 high-rise buildings either under construction approved for construction, or proposed for construction, of which three are over 300 m (980 ft) high. Shanghai overtakes other powerful Chinese cities with its beautiful skyline.

Currently there 3 structures that shares the tittle of tallest building in Singapore as they need to put a limitation of 280m for all the buildings. Amazingly they are able to compete against all of the worlds best with such restrictions. There are 49 skyscrapers that rise higher than 140 metres (459 ft).

An extravagant command center of the world and an Alpha+ city, built in a country with very limited natural resources, destroyed twice by a natural disaster and an extensive bombing during the world war. In Tokyo, there are 39 buildings and structures that stand taller than 180 metres (591 ft).

2. New York City
This previously British ruled city is a financial capital of the world and is an Apha++ city. New York is not just vast and dense when it comes to skyscrapers but it is also architecturallystands in this city.

1. Hong Kong
Again Hongkong topping the list of this sort, and maybe will remain on top for the next decade or more. This Apha+ city has an overwhelming number skyscrapers and listed number one on Emporis.com. Of the 100 tallest buildings in the world 36 are in Hongkong.
